Configuration of Network

The figure below shows the hydrological variables which are identified as essential for the GTN-H network. For most of the variables given in the figure a global network is defined and a contact established. For two variables (water vapour and soil moisture) the establishement of a global observation and monitoring network is not yet undertaken. The observation and data centre networks for the three variables of Lake level/area, Water use and Evapotranspiration are under development and will be fully implemented in the next few years.
